The launch of the Haval Second-Generation Big Dog Hi4 plug-in hybrid SUV in China represents a significant leap forward in automotive innovation.

Priced competitively at 179,800(Pkr 7 Crore) yuan, this formidable vehicle is poised to revolutionize the landscape of premium SUVs. Featuring an iconic design language, the Big Dog Hi4 boasts a sleek and robust exterior, highlighted by a distinctive matrix structure polygonal grille adorned with the signature blue Haval logo.

Notable upgrades include a new “Hi4” tail badge and upgraded tire specifications, emphasizing its versatility as a light off-road SUV. With a ground clearance of 200 mm and support for seven driving modes, including economy and sports, the Hi4 ensures optimal performance across diverse terrains.

Equipped with a comprehensive suite of 22 sensors, including ultrasonic radars and cameras, the Hi4 prioritizes safety and precision in driving experiences. Inside the cockpit, a 14.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a HUD provide intuitive access to various functions.

Upgraded tire specs (245/55) and a new “Hi4” tail emblem are two noteworthy additions that highlight this SUV’s adaptability as a light off-road vehicle. With its exceptional driving characteristics and 200 mm of ground clearance, the Hi4 offers seven driving modes (economy, sports, mud, and sand) to ensure optimal performance on a variety of terrains.

The SUV has 22 sensors in total, including cameras, millimeter-wave radars, and ultrasonic radars, which work together to provide sophisticated driving assistance. This guarantees improved driving experiences in terms of safety and accuracy.

There are five external colors available to customers. The product has dimensions of 4705/1908/1780 mm and a wheelbase of 2810 mm. A 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch center control screen, and a head-up display (HUD) offer easy access to a number of features inside the cockpit.

Mobile APP remote control, speech recognition, OTA updates, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, and wireless charging for smartphones are among the extra features. Five people can fit in the normal configuration, which has a trunk volume of 483 L that can be expanded to 1,362 L by folding down the rear row.

Under the hood, a 1.5T engine and two motors connected to a two-speed DHT power the Great Wall Motor Hi4 plug-in hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power output of 123 kW and a peak torque of 243 Nm. The total torque of the front and rear motors is 750 Nm. This SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. Its 19.09 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack allows for DC fast charging. Its pure electric cruising range is 102 km (NEDC).
