Despite a rise in the global market, the price of gold decreased little in Pakistan on Tuesday.
The price of 24 carats of gold decreased by Rs. 500 per tola to Rs. 256,000, while the price of 10 grams down by Rs. 428 to Rs. 219,479, according to figures released by the Karachi Sarafa Association.

Last Friday saw the price of the precious metal reach a record high of Rs. 257,300 per tola. But over the next two days, on Saturday and Monday, it fell. The slight decrease from yesterday was 300 rupees per tola.
By 1134 GMT, spot gold on the global market had increased by 0.3 percent to $2,413.90 per ounce, while US gold futures had increased by 0.5 percent to $2,455.30.
